Fruitfly (Drosophila spp.)

A variety of species belonging to the genus Drosophila is found under the term fruit fly. These are small flies that in the larval stage feed on rotting or fermenting fruit.

In the home, the presence of some specimens is almost constant in the summer months, while infestation problems mainly concern food plants which process ripe fruit.

In industrial and large distribution environments, the massive presence of these insects is a source of biological pollution, and in some cases (e.g. large distribution) also presents an image problem.

In this regard, Igiencontrol offers precise monitoring and control services mainly for the food industry.
